UNA-USA’s vision is an international system in which the United States works with other nations to achieve the goals set forth in the preamble to the Charter of the United Nations. To realize this, the United States must manifest a greater commitment to internationalism, multilateral agreements, respect for international law, and more positive participation in the U.N. system. Our mission is to help achieve constructive U.S. leadership within a strengthened U.N. system. Fulfillment of this vision would enable the U.S. and other nations to shift hundreds of billions of dollars from spending on weapons to programs serving human needs.
